High Fashion Thursday, Issue #9: Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen at Paris Fashion Week

The most anticipated show of Paris Fashion Week was Sarah Burton's first collection for the Alexander McQueen house.  Burton was the obvious choice to take the lead when announced by the Gucci Group in May of this year, having worked alongside McQueen for 16 years.  A longtime appreciator of the designer myself, natural hesitations and reservations came with whether she could carry the designer's distinctive voice in couture and fashion.  She surely didn't disappoint, and would certainly make his fans, patrons, appreciators, and Alexander himself proud.  Here are a few pieces that made their way down the runway.
