No Day But Today: Brampton Music Theatre Presents RENT!

I'm excited to announce that I will be working on the production team for Brampton Music Theatre's production of Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, Rent! I'm part of a two-person team in charge of acquiring necessary props - prop wranglin', so to speak.

Since community theatre is entirely volunteer work, we're working on a limited budget and aren't ashamed to go into 'beg, borrow and steal' mode.  Bartering isn't out of the question, either!

Here's a few props we're looking for.  If you've got something on the list collecting dust and would like to donate it to this worthy cause, leave a comment!  I'm even open to trades from my Etsy shop if there's something you have your eye on.
  • telephone with a built-in tape answering machine, 1990s model
  • 3 cell phones, late 80s to early 90s models - think the first flip-phone models
  • 16mm projector - it doesn't need to work, but has to look like it functions
  • 16mm camera - just like the projector, it doesn't need to work, just look like it does
  • camera tripod
You can follow the rehearsal and production process on Brampton Music Theatre's blog, Songs and Stages.  Videos and photos are up of the phenomenal cast!  If you're in the Brampton area, come see the show!  Opening night is November 11 - click here to buy your tickets!
